Heath Ryan is a publisher and writer. Born in Toronto, Canada, Heath lived and worked in a number of countries including Jordan, France and the United Kingdom before moving to Australia. In addition to being a father, Heath is an ultra-endurance cyclist. Riding as ‘The Dark Knight’, he was in twentieth position in the 2017 Indian Pacific Wheel Race from Fremantle to Sydney on the day Mike Hall was killed. Since then Heath has completed three other unsupported ultra-endurance cycling events, setting the fastest unsupported time between Perth and Sydney, coming twentieth in the 6,734-kilometre Trans Am Bike Race across the USA, and finishing the Transcontinental Race in 69th position – all in 2018. Heath’s current focus is short posts, investigative articles and books that observe and comment on human endeavor, behavior, society and social justice.

Heath's next book, "Diminished by One" cover's the story of  John Egbers a cyclist from St Cloud, MN who was killed while riding his bicycle in 2018 during the TransAm race across America.  There were many similarities in the crashes of both Egbers and Hall including the lack of justice. No charges filed against the drivers that killed these men.  Heath Ryan is an investigative reporter who took it upon himself to tell their true and tragic stories.
