Ruckus in the Bearbrush is an Appalachian band bringing forth music and stories of the great Appalachian territories of the United States. They present how Scotch Irish immigrant cultures collided with the mountain cultures and impacted the melodies we still hear today. They play a range of Celtic, sea shanties, medleys, and Appalachian mountain melodies.

Their guitarist has summered in the blue ridge mountains of Tennessee for several years. Their woodwinds and autoharpist spent 15 plus years traveling to the Ozark mountains of Missouri gathering story and song, and their string master has traveled multiple mountain regions pulling it all together with instruments from mountain dulcimer to fiddle. All are seasoned musicians with inspiring abilities.
